Project Overview

  • Location: Long Crendon, Oxfordshire
  • Project Tags: Modern, Livin Room, Patio, Bi-Folding Doors
  • Customer: Mr & Mrs Walker

Mr & Mrs Walker came to us in Spring 2013 with a requirement build a beautiful glass extension onto their home in Long Crendon, Oxfordshire.

After consultation with our design and planning team, they decided to go with a ‘Livin Room’ style structure based on a steel support. This would allow for the room to be completely opened up to the garden on 2 sides, whilst still retaining the feel of a proper room when the bi-folding doors were closed.

The new structure not only provides a sizeable extension to their living space, it also makes the most of their beautiful garden and stunning the views across the Oxfordshire countryside. Blue tinted argon glass will help to moderate temperatures in the room all year round, with underfloor heating and recessed spotlights helping to make the room perfectly usable at nights and during the winter months.

Mr and Mrs Walker were delighted with the service provided by Crendon Conservatories and with the modern glass extension we created for them.
